A PAIR OF GEORGE III CANDLE LIGHTS BY TURNER AND COMPANY

A pair of George III candle lights with later storm globes with gilt metal mounts and blue jasper bodies decorated with classical white relief depicting figures within oval panels and surrounded by drapery impressed with the makers mark, Turner and Co., each with later storm globes and the bodies mounted on square moulded bases ending in bun feet.

Circa 1790.

Literature: See "Ceramic Marks" by J.P. Cushion, he refers to Turner and Co. sons of their father company Turner-John & William operating from 1787.
